We have stayed at this place before, It is good when you know what to except and can make the most of it. It is definitely not cheap but we got a bit of a deal as @consciouscat was attending a conference.It has a good facilities and location which I suppose is why its expensive. I remember when it was first built I looked into buying a unit off the plan. Even with real estate prices sky rocketing I am sort of glad I did not, as I am sure the management and letting fees would have kept me poor. We did not get the best room, last time we were over looking the main pool but this one was quieter and had more space.I don't get to watch much football nowadays but it was a bit of treat having FloxtelBeach access was close but there was a lot of erosion probably from the cyclone a couple of months ago. We stopped at Kingscliff on the way there and it had plenty of sand must be something to do with the river mouth and rock wall taking it from one spot and then the swell dumping it all else where.The surf club volunteers had some fun getting rescue craft back to the club house.Of course I squeezed in quite a lot of running and there is a parkrun event within walking distance.The open beach surf was pretty messyI even had time to do a strength workout in there gym.We got a bit of rain but it short lived and ended with some strong rainbows.
