The Central Coast of New South Wales coast line has a lot of great beaches. We parked our car a MacMasters Beach Surf club which is definitely one of them. It was a sunny and hot, boxing day public holiday 2024 and we were lucky to find a parking spot. We had a quick look at the beach and would have a swim there after we had done a hike to a less crowded beach nearby. The life savers were setting up and I really like the rock pools in this part of the world, we just do not have that many in Queensland even thought we definately have the weather for it.There were quite a few surfers out even though wind seemed to be chopping the swell up a bit.Our hike started behind the surf club and past a few very expensive looking houses. There is a lot of other hikes to do in this area but we only had time for the one of the shorter ones.Basically the path just took us up and over the head land to the next cove along some fire trail and single track.Garawa lookout. It was quite but we were not the only ones there. It looked like a very romantic spot.We had a bit of an explore and a rest in some of the shade before heading back.Dipodium Variegatum orchidAfter a swim at MacMasters Beach we were off the find some lunch but it was not easy being a public holiday everything was closed.Eventually we found Drifter Wharf in Gosford which was on the way home.
