Does one photo and an hour count as a country visited. We did get off the bus and it counted on the Contiki travel brochure way back in 1991 so why not now. Land locked right between Austria and Switzerland how did this small 160 square kilometre with 40,000 people become a country? It seems you just needed a bit of money and some connections to the holy roman empire. Imagine the real estate sales commission even back then. I suppose it must have shown real wealth, setting up your own royal family complete with a castle. I am surprised Elon or Mr Trump has not tried, maybe I should even carve of my own little piece of Australia.

We must have driven through the main street of Vaduz but I probably did not see much at the back of the bus. You had to be up early and lined up to get the front seats of the bus before even before the manager and bus driver showed up. I was more interested in getting seconds at breakfast. I do not think that this banner is the right layout of the Liechtenstein Flag that I need for my travelfeed collection but it has the colours in it. Photo by Kseniia Zapiatkina on Unsplash

Fun facts about Liechtenstein.. One of only two double landlocked countries in the world. It is the fourth smallest country in Europe and sixth world wide and one of five that has not airport.  Back drop photo Photo by M. X. on Unsplash  Thumbnail Photo by Henrique Ferreira on Unsplash
