Is Kuta The Best or Worst beach is Bali? I suppose it depends on what your used to and what you like. I like any where in Bali and or any sort of beach holiday. For me the best part is I get to run and there are a couple of good options if I get up early enough. The foreshore path is great before all the street vendors get set up and all the tourists arrive. You get a great view of the beach, surf and it goes for miles. The beach side road is not too bad early either but I definitely would not like to tackle it in the midday sun and with all of the traffic. The other option is running on the sand, best at low tide. I have done a little bit of bare foot running but prefer some shoes as it is more comfortable if I go longer and do not have to watch where I am putting my feet all the time. Aggressive dogs can be annoying in Bali but they seems i to be well used to tourists in Kuta.

The open beach surf breaks seem very dumpy to me. though I did see a few locals catching a few waves, I would just get totally smashed, I would just have to hang with the beginners in the white wash with a long board.
