I have done Kedron parkrun twice, it is one of my favorite courses, fast, flat, straight out and back, one small bridge to cross, with the one u turn at halfway, my twenty first different event. It starts right near the North Brisbane Rugby Union Club and you run along the Kedron brook pathway. Which can flood when Brisbane gets a lot of rain. It is just around the corner from a two bedroom unit I bought in the 1980s for $46,000 Aud. That was well before parkrun existed and how real estate prices have changed it would be worth more than 10 times that now. It is also near my old work place and I ran with a couple workmates to introduce them to parkrun, the first time was with the plumber. I love seeing young people doing volunteer roles at parkrun such a good way to learn a few skills and build some confidence, this young man was doing the first timer brief and learning to be a run director.The first timer briefing turned straight into the main brief.They always get a big crowd and the Bert run club boys take it out fast.Kedron was my 3rd parkrun starting with K but I only have one complete alphabet.They have a separate bike path there too which is was great at the start.Trying to hang on near the half way turn around.My first visit was back on the 02/03/2019My second time there was on the 07/12/2019 and the factory manager brought down his cross fit crew.
