After leaving Sydney on our recent winter holiday we started heading south west towards the Snowy Mountains. We were looking for some where to have a break, stretch our legs and get a bit to eat.

We did not want to stop in Canberra as we had accommodation booked there for the return trip home. So we thought we would visit the tiny town of Collector. We had heard a few good thing about so off we went to check it out.

Not really big enough for an overnight stop but perfect for a lunch break. It is situated two and half hours South West of Sydney, just outside of Canberra and has a population of 370 in town and the surrounding area.

Directly opposite the supposedly haunted Bushranger Hotel was this weird half built abandoned gothic looking wall. I found the ”Dreamers Gate” most interesting. First off I thought it was just some construction job just stopped for the usual covid and or supply chain issues. But it was halted because of the local council had deemed an artists1993 tribute to his father structural unsafe. The artist father had worked the land.
