China town was probably my most favorite part of Singapore. That is saying something because there was heaps to do and see every where we went in this fantastic city. Hot and humid but still fantastic. We were staying in China town so we spent some part of every day here checking out as many different streets and lane ways as our legs could handle.

We did not buy very much as we are trying to simplify and down size as we get older but the window shopping was great. So many different products and item we just do not get back home.

We ate at the Maxwell centre many time, so much choice, almost too many choices which made it hard to decide. Also lot cheaper than all the high end restaurants. It was open 8 am until 2 am every day and located right next to the Tanjong Pagar MRT Station.

Thian Hock Keng Temple. Singapore’s oldest Chinese temple built in 1839. It is hard to imagine this street once face the ocean, so much work must have been done to reclaim the land from the sea.

The Buddhist Temple was colourful and interesting, it would be great to learn more about all the customs and culture.

Telok Ayer Green was just around the corner from the temple, It was dedicated and showed how people lived in this area as it was developed from wetlands to a busy city.

We would happily stay, revisit and explore more of this area if we get to visit this wonderful place again.
