I have been to this parkrun twice, the first time with Caroline, I forgot my barcode. Back in 2019 if you did not have a printed barcode you did not get an official time. Some times you could talk the run director to adding your number manually but I don’t like to impose or hassle people. I missed quite a few stats over the years, at one point I had an old disk barcode on my shoe that became unreadable. So I missed a lot if extra stats but at the time I just was not that interested, I just like to run. I always got this place confused with Bunya Mountains about a three hour drive west of Brisbane. Luckily for us Bunyaville parkrun is only about thirty minutes north of the of Brisbane. They are both hilly places with lots of good trails and tracks to explore. The run briefing here takes place at the Pine Hills Netball Club.

After the run brief they walk you down a hill to start only to run straight back up it to the netball courts, After a lap around the flat ovals it was straight back down the hill past the start line then into the Regional Park and state Forest. 141 runners and walkers tackled the course the day we were there.

There was a mix of single track and wider fire trails.

Sometimes I find running down the hills just as hard on my legs as the uphills.
