Day 3 of our recent snow trip arrived with some more great weather so after getting up early and getting a prime spot in the resort carpark we decide to visit Mount Blue Cow and Guthega Peak. A prime spot in the car car is anywhere near the front, close to the yellow pedestrian crossing because after a long day of skiing the shortest and most uncomplicated walk back to the car in ski boots is much kinder on your legs.

The trail is very well marked but it is easy to take the wrong track and drop to low, but the worst that can happen is you end up in a different part of the mountain and catch a different chair liftback up.

Luckily we got there early enough to beat most of the crowd. It does not take long in Australia for the sun and the people to carve and soften all the nice groomed snow up into a sticky heavy sludge.

The Blue Cow terminal building is actually connect by an under ground ski tube train which runs half the way back to Jindabyne. There is a ski school lesson happening behind us.

It is a bit hard to make out but the heavier red lines are the trail and chairlifts we used on the strava screenshot.
