Doi Saket
Flying into Chang Mai North Thailand we got this great view. This little adventure was part of our Asian loop holiday back in November 2023. Sort of playing catch up after missing a lot of travel during covid, visiting some family and trying to pick up some international parkruns in south east Asia. We started by getting the cheapest we could out of Brisbane in Australia to Singapore for a long weekend and a parkrun then it was a low cost budget airline called scoot direct to Chang Mia Thailand.
We were lucky enough to stay on a small family farm and there were able to show us around there amazing area. Lots of houses in Thailand have these little spirit temples where offerings are left.
Sunrise was the best time of the day with the cool mountain air.
The farm did not have a lot of animals but there where a few families living on the land looking after a number of different fruit and tree crops.
Some real Thai kitchen cooking lessons.
I got this nice close up of a dragon fly with it see through wings.
Farm made Sticky rice inside some bamboo.
Lazy little lizard.
The Geckos are much bigger here than the ones we get back home.
and the centipedes are big too.
Thailand does not have any parkruns yet I still like to do a run pretty much every where we go.
All those stag and elk horns.
Some of the produce at the local market.
Lanturn festisival for some good luck
A Lotus flower
which took a couple of days to open
The Farm stay was a great base for a couple of nights to unwind and relax.
