Monday morning and time to load everything back in Fern. But we did linger til about 11. Our destination is Spencer's Island near Advocate Harbour. If we had a boat it would have taken about 30 minutes but it's a 3 hour drive. The first drive of that length since we arrived the previous Tuesday. But with a couple of quick stops and not driving on any major highways for long, it was quite enjoyable. Until you pass Parrsboro and you hit the "up and down" road. Then you wonder whether you will ever get there.
As I drive into the village I started to look at house numbers and realized that I was getting close but suddenly there was this woman madly waving her arms at me from her lawn to my right. It was Kathleen and I was driving past her lane way. Apparently it happens often.
