A scenery over the Old Mardin Houses
Have you ever believe in Fairy Tales or existence of the cities which are mentioned in fairy tales...Yes, Mardin is one of them and it is my childhood dream city.Mardin is a city that combines its rich, mystical and historical heritage with modernity,ok actually not totally like that..If modernity means making new houses on historical places,well,it is not i call it modernity,it is called stupity . The city is situated in the south-east of Turkey and has got a lot of bazaars, historic inns, museums, stone houses, silver jewellery and artefacts.Actually when we call Mardin it is said the city of stone and clay.
There are a lot of civilizations were established and ruined,many languages were spoken and many religions were formed in Mardin,so There are a lot of historical places around there...
While walking around the streets of Mardin i was impressed of the harmony between the new and the old.But i do not talk about the historical places.I want to say that there is a city and in this city you can see a lot of other cities...It was really impressive and exciting for me.
Well then you can ask yourself why i travel to Mardin? Here is a few answers below :
1- If you are a fan of Assasing Creed and you like the atmosphere of the gameplay then you should visit Mardin
2- If you like histyorical places which was used a few civilizations you should come and see this historical city closer...
3-If you wonder about Mesopotamia-the cradle of civilizations then you have to visit Mardin.
Last picture was taken at night as a long exposure picture of the Ancient City of the Mardin, as the folk calls it "The Old City" and all the pictures were also taken around the all "The Old City". It is the first part of my travel in Mardin,ın the second part i will show you Midyat city and the last part of our travel i will show you "The Pit" and "The Ancient City of Dara"
