Last day in Warsaw
The good times flew by so quickly, it was the last day in Warsaw. I was able to see a friend who opened his second café in Poland, go sightseeing in the Old Town of Warsaw, and enjoy delicious Polish food, making it a very satisfying trip.
Warsaw was about 5 degrees warmer than Stockholm and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom in the city. When I was looking for a café for breakfast, I saw cherry trees in full bloom on the street, which reminded me a little of Japan.

On the last day, we decided to have breakfast again at the cafe we had visited the day before.
A short walk from the hotel was a café called "Relax na Wilczej" with a very nice atmosphere, so we decided to have breakfast there.
As you may have guessed from reading my blog the day before, I went to a Korean restaurant the day before and ate a lot of Korean BBQ. That day, I ordered only a small sweet and a café, as I was still not that hungry after eating a lot of Polish food.
It was a little cloudy and a little chilly, but the restaurant was packed with people, so we decided to sit outside on the terrace for breakfast. There were many tourists like us with suitcases, probably because the café is close to the center of Warsaw.
Before heading to the airport
It was a little early to go to the airport and we decided to take one last walk around Warsaw. Even though it was a stroll, we walked around the neighborhood from our hotel. I saw many skyscrapers being built in the center of Warsaw and witnessed the rapid growth of the city, which made me feel that Poland has become an influential country in terms of the Polish economy.
While there are still many buildings from the communist era, when Poland was strongly influenced by Russia, but modern buildings are also being constructed after Poland joined the free economy. It was a Finnish-like city with a mixture of old and modern architecture.
Last Pierog in Warsaw
I went into a cafe for a short break. It seemed to be a café with a long history and had been visited by Polish dignitaries. After all, I had a Pierog at the end and headed for the airport.
Warsaw Chopin International Airport is the hub for Polish Airlines, and it was the first time I had seen so many LOT aircraft, which was very refreshing.
Back to Stockholm, Sweden!
It was a short but very productive trip to Warsaw. I hope to be able to spend more time with my friends next time I see them. Well, it seems that he is quite busy running his business, so I hope we can make time to meet again, this time in Stockholm.
ワルシャワ最終日
あっという間に楽しい時間は過ぎ去っていくもので、気が付けばワルシャワ最終日になりました。会いたかった友人にも会えたし、ワルシャワ旧市街にも観光に行けたし、美味しいポーランドを堪能し大満足の旅になりました。
ワルシャワはストックホルムに比べて、５度程度温かく町では桜が満開に咲いていました。朝食の為、カフェを探していると通りに桜の木が満開に咲いていて、日本を少し思い出しました。
最終日も前日に行ったカフェで朝食をとることにしました。
前日のブログを読んでいただければ察すると思うのですが、前日は韓国レストランに行き、韓国BBQをたくさん食べました。 その日は、ポーランド料理もたくさん食べてさほどまだ空腹感を感じていなかったので、わたしはちょっとしたスイーツとカフェだけを注文しました。
この日は少し曇っていて、少し肌寒かったのですが店内は人でいっぱいで、外のテラスに座って朝食をとることにしました。ワルシャワ中心地から近いからか、スーツケースを持ったわたし達のような観光客がたくさんカフェに来ていました。
空港に向かう前に
空港に行くには少し時間が早く、最後にワルシャワの街を散策することにしました。散策と行っても、ホテルから近場を歩きました。ワルシャワの中心街には高層ビルをどんどん建設していて、街が急速に成長している感じを目の当たりにして、ポーランド経済的にも、影響力のある国になっていると感じました。
ポーランドはロシアの影響力を強く受けた共産主義時代の建物も沢山残っているのですが、自由経済に参加した後のモダン的な建物もどんどん建設が進んでいる様で、昔と現代の建築物が混同しているフィンランドのような街並みでした。
やっぱり最後もPierog！
少し休憩を兼ねてカフェに入りました。そこは、歴史のあるカフェの様でかなりポーランドの要人も訪れたことのあるカフェの様でした。やっぱり最後はPierogを食べて、空港に向かいました。
ワルシャワ・ショパン国際空港はポーランド航空のハブで、こんなにたくさんのLOTの機体を見るのは初めてで、とても新鮮な感じがしました。
短かったけど、とても充実したワルシャワ旅行になりました。今度はもっとゆっくりと友人と時間を過ごせればと思います。まぁ、経営でかなり忙しい様で、時間を作って今度はストックホルムで再会出来ればいいなと思います。
