Rice Noodle is a very common and localised food in Hong Kong since 6 years ago( I guess). Today's recommendation is the favorite of @yanyanbebe, we usually have it when we're in Tsim Sha Tsui. That's also a special recommendation series for people or travelers who want to try something localized and prefer spicy. I'm not a spicy guy but sour so it's fit for me, LOL.
Since the location is in Tsim Sha Tsui, a core district of Hong Kong, they provide the menu in both Chinese and English. (I don't even know some of the names in English)
Here is your order steps:
- Choose either H1 ~H2 for the base or a set of B1 ~B4
1.1 if you choose for H1 or H2, pick your dishes from A1 to A39. Prices is set for each row, so like A1 to A14 is $6 each etc. - Choose the levels of Spiciness and sourness from C to D
- Last, special request for yourself
- Order any drinks if you like and remember every drinks have its symbol before the prices.
DONE!!
Last time my pick is:
- Pig's Blood(A19) and Fish Ball(A12), mix in Trandtional Chinese Rice Noodle in Home Made Soup(H1)
- Very Little Spicy and Less Sour
- No Leek(E10) and Less Bean Sprouts(E1)
$26+$6+$7=$39 (5 STEEM)
Pig's Blood(A19) for who's admitted themselves as a foodie
And my partner @yanyanbebe picks:
- Spicy Sliced Pork(featured), in Trandtional Chinese Rice Noodle in Home Made Soup(H1)
- Little Medium Spicy(C4) and Normal Sour(D2)
$26+$8=$34 (4.3 STEEM)
My comments for my order is a very traditional one, the sour is quite a strong taste. Spicy and sour are really good to rise your appetite. One thing to notice is their spicy is strong, even though @yanyanbebe ordered C4 and it's already made her sweating. Suggestion is to try from little to more.
Sing Lum Khui has 2 floors for customers to sit, this is just the ground floor and that means they are very popular in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Pricing:
Normal order for 2 dishes in soup: 5 STEEM
This time I spent(2 ppl): 9 STEEM
(Typical dinner for Hong Kong people is 7.5 STEEM)
Final words:
Localized Chinese foods, in spicy and sour
Cheap and Fabulous :)
Core district, little packed environment
5 mins walking from transportation
Cheap and Fabulous is totally possible in Hong Kong, if you wish to find it
