What a bright and colorful Sunday for the Leyteños as we are all celebrating for winning all 3 awards for this year's Aliwan Fiesta.

Last night was epic! Big provinces and cities all over the Philippines competes for this annual grand festival. Who would've thought that Waraynons will win all the awards. Sadly, I wasn't there during the awarding because we have to refer 3 dancers to the hospital. I saw the photos and everybody was definitely happy. I hope I was there too.
I didn't bring my camera or my phone during the event because I know I won't be able to take photos as we will be busy attending the participants. Good thing we arrived earlier at the venue so I got a chance to walk around and take some photos of the beautiful and colorful floats. I used my iPhone 8 Plus to take these shots:
And the 1st place again for this year's float competition is Fiesta Tarakloban of Tacloban City.
It was truly exhilarating to have witnessed such beautiful event. The colorful costumes, the cheerful crowd, the flashy lights, the loud music and the whole festive mood that Aliwan Fiesta brings - its really something that you guys should experience. Someday, I'd like to attend this, not as a medics but to watch the whole presentations of the different contingents.
If you are a foreigner who wanted to visit the Philippines, you should experience a festival celebration here. You'll be mesmerized by how rich the culture and how talented Filipinos are.
I'm a fan of festivals, aside from our very own Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival in Leyte which is held every June, I also would love to experience the Ati-atihan in Aklan and Masskara Festival in Bacolod. Its on my bucketlist. How about you? Do you guys have any festival that's on your list?
Philippines is such a beautiful country and I wouldn't want to settle anywhere else. This is my home, and I will promote it in any way I can because its truly worth exploring. 💚
