| Pour cette 183e édition du concours de MacroPhotography de @photofeed, je propose ici une photographie de flabelline que j'ai pris en photo au Cap-Vert. Une flabelline est un nudibranche dont les couleurs éclatantes attirent immédiatement le regard des plongeurs. Malgré sa petite taille, souvent de quelques centimètres seulement, cet animal se distingue par une silhouette élégante et une coloration allant du violet intense au mauve, parfois accompagnée de nuances blanchâtres ou rosées. Ces couleurs vives sont particulière aux familles de nudibranches qui les arborent comme symbole de fort poison et ainsi repousser les prédateurs. Les couleurs vives ont en effet mauvaise réputation dans la nature. La flabelline appartient au groupe des nudibranches, des mollusques marins dépourvus de coquille à l’âge adulte. La partie qui donne sensation de fleur à l'arrière de son corps est en fait un système de filtration d'oxygène à l'extérieur de son corps. Sans cela les nudibranches mourraient! Pour les plongeurs, rencontrer une flabelline violette est souvent un moment privilégié. Sa petite taille exige une observation attentive et une bonne maîtrise de la flottabilité afin de ne pas la toucher ou l’endommager accidentellement. La photographie sous-marine permet d’ailleurs de révéler des détails et des couleurs difficiles à percevoir à l’œil nu. Cette macro a été réalisée avec un Nikor 60mm et un nikon Z7II. L'ensemble est disposé dans un caisson étanche. | For this 183rd edition of the @photofeed MacroPhotography contest, I propose here a flabelline photograph that I took in Cape Verde. A flabelline is a nudibranch whose bright colors immediately attract the attention of divers. Despite its small size, often only a few centimeters, this animal is distinguished by an elegant silhouette and coloration ranging from intense purple to mauve, sometimes accompanied by whitish or pink shades. These bright colors are unique to the nudibranchial families, which display them as a symbol of poison and thus repel predators. Bright colors do indeed have a bad reputation in nature. Flabellin belongs to the group of nudibranchs, marine molluscs lacking shells in adulthood. The part that gives the sensation of a flower at the back of his body is actually an oxygen filtration system on the outside of his body. Without it, the nudibranchs would die! For divers, meeting a purple flabelline is often a special moment. Its small size requires careful observation and good buoyancy control so as not to touch or damage it accidentally. Underwater photography can also reveal details and colors difficult to perceive with the naked eye. This macro was shot with a 60mm Nikor and a nikon Z7II. All these parts are arranged in a waterproof housing. |
