Hi everyone,
I have learned somewhere, that If you are exhausted from anything travel It will heal you.
So there is a heavy workload in the office for a few months, so I am working 12 hours a day. So one morning we three friends were having a meal, and suddenly one of us said I am going for a track, so we didn't take him seriously. After some time he said I am going if you are coming you can join me, so then the second friend of mine said, yes I am also coming. then both of them tried to force me to go with them, So I thought I also should go, there will be many things to explore. so then I called one of my office colleagues, and he said yes immediately. then we four went for the way.
We live in Almora(Uttarakhand India), Uttarakhand also called Dev Bhoomi, which means "The land of GODs". So there are two regions, the first is Kumaon second is Garhwal. Almora is placed in the Kumaon region and the Tung Nath track is placed in the Garhwal region. So we traveled almost 200km from Almora. we have two vehicles, so we started our journey at 11 Am from Almora.
First, let me tell you about Tung Nath and Chandrashila.
Tung Nath is one of the highest Shiva temples in the world and is the highest(3,680 m) of the five Panch Kedar temples located in the Rudraprayag district, from the bottom of the Chopra, Tung Nath's track is around 4km, and from Tung Nath temple the Chandra Shila is around 1.5km, The track is completely standing, When anyone reaches on the top of chandrashila the clouds are below that and the view is amazing. and the place is very peaceful.
We reached the place called "Mandal" around 8 pm and we decided to stay there for that night because the local people said that from there the jungle starts and there are many wild animals there, the way is very dangerous. So we sleep there in a Hotel. and on the next day early in the morning we started our way to Tung Nath Temple, we traveled about 17km from there to reach the Chopta. Now the track begins, We climbed up straight 4km and reached the Tung Nath temple, there are so many visitors because It's the time of weekend many people come there from across the areas to visit the temple. in a mid-way, there were many bugles, and there was a clear vision of the Himalayas. luckily the weather is clean so we didn't face any hurdles to traveling there. Then we visited the Temple and did the prayer.
We stayed there for some time and had some breakfast then we started our track for Chandrashila Top, after traveling 1.5km climbing up we reached Chandrashila Top, The place is very peaceful and clean. For chandrashila Place one story is famous after defeating the Ravan, Lord Ram did the meditation there because Ravan was a Brahman and at that time, killing a Brahman was a sin.
This was my first track in my life and learned many things from that track, for climbing that up you have to be fit otherwise the track will be very difficult, That was our unplanned Successful, and peaceful trip.
