Welcome back again with my travel blog. Today I'm going to share my next hiking experience where I went Balumgala very closely located at Kandy town capital of central province. Balumgala used to spy on Sinhalese when the English invaded the Kandyan region. So this was traditional value indeed mountain since who were attacked by English to Sri Lanka before 400 years.

Me and only one my friend visited Balumgala hill because we reached top of the mountain without guide. My friend previously went there and he knew what's the better way for easily climb up. So both of us reached destination without any doubt. We could see another biggest mountain ranges since here.

This mountain range is located about 2 km along the Balumgala temple road while walking about 1 km from Kadugannawa to Gampola. We dive in the middle of a tea garden, with the attacks of leeches. We could see the great balumgala rock formation about 4 km away.

Looking down from the top of this mountain, you can see the Colombo city road. That means you can track the enemy's path from this location. This is why it has been named Balumgala. From the top of the mountain you can divide Mawanella area on the left and the hill country on the right.

There is a connection between the Balumgala, the fort and the royal palace. The only way to enter the upcountry is through the valley between Mount Balana and Mudali.

This place is clearly visible from this mountain range as a train descends from the Elephant back passage between the Balana and Kadugannawa. It is a journey that needs to be taken very carefully, as more and more rock is slipping.

When it was felt that some enemy group was coming, a group of guards were immediately dispatched to the Mudali mountain. Therefore, this balumgala has been introduced as a great obstacle to capture the Kandyan.

On our way back to another beautiful place near Kadugannawa town, we brought back our things. Because if you put things like polythene and water bottles in it, you will lose the beauty and the environment. Thanks for visiting. See you in next.
