Hello everyone, Welcome to my today's travel blog. As a Buddhist, I went more various temples in my country. Some temples oldest once. Another temples built recently. However I went temple for same purposes. So in this blog I want to share with you another journey to pilgrimage where I reached Matale light temple located on central province in Sri Lanka.
From Matale town, go to Dambulla on the Kandy-Anuradhapura road, about 2 1/2 km and reach the temple. The Buddha statue on the slopes of the hill above the temple is a marvelous creation of the recent creation. Behind the temple has highest mountain.
We started to walk through difficult road. It is because of this place that the Tripitaka was written in palm leaves during the reign of King Walagamba.
According to folklore, this place was named after King Devanampiyatissa. Later a family by the name of Aluvihare had settled in the area and later they donated this stone area to the Buddhists.
We went to the Matale town evening time. After came to temple's down of the temple whole environment was dark. Time goes much faster. It's old temple's bell. These bells noises only for very special moment of temple. It has huge noise and if someone touch the bell, the villagers quickly came to the temple since old time.
The lamps in the temple premises were lit and lit. It is our custom. Above area had brightness scenery under the dark background.
The lamp's light very impressive to closer view. You can take that feeling where I went Matale Aluvihare temple.
There are evidences that most of the Arahants were in caves in the mountains adjoining the temple. There is no doubt that some of them were inhabited, as it appears that the quarries were engraved so as not to sink into the water.
Everywhere shown dark light with nigh background. So I couldn't captured historical monuments inside the temple. Forgive me for it. However if I'll go there next time surely take valuable parts of this Aluvihare temple. We didn't stay long time there. After worshiped to the temple, we came quickly to the down side. Thanks for reading. See you again.
