Hello Wonderful Steem Community,

Today I;m gonna to sharing another greatest travel experience where I went Dewanagala located in Kegalle district in Sri Lanka. There is historical area with built temple. Devanagala is a Buddhist place with a lot of archaeological, historical and religious values.

The temple is located on the massive rock called Devanagala and is about six kilometers from Mawanella town via the Hemmathagama road.

After about 5km along the Mawanella Hemmathagama road, you will reach this mountain. After a fairly difficult flight of stairs, there is a stone stairway designed to climb a large black stone. It is also a tough road. From there you can see the beautiful village below.

Devanagala is situated amidst scenic surroundings. The Uttuwankanda, Ambala Kanda, Danagirigala, Batalegala, Kirigala and Kadugannawa mountain ranges are all encompassing the beauty of the temple.

Devanagala Temple is a very sacred site, very similar to the Pidurangala Temple. This is similar to the Pidurangala Temple, Sigiriya and the Devanagala Temple facing Batalegala.

Down side we could see paddy fields and coconut plantations. It mean there are more people living with rice fields. There was nice scenery after climbed difficult hike.

I went another corner on the mountain for captured another surrounding area. Exactly I thought if I stay this place at nice for looked night scenery. I believe that's fantastic to the night with cool winds.

I have see some of the stone hills located around the Dewanagala hill. Whole area was mixed with green, yellow and blue combination. I'm a very lucky man to see and feel those natural scenery and feelings.

Among the monuments on the top of the rock is the ancient monument. This is made entirely of stone. Remains of the walls show that the building was up to twelve feet high, with large blocks of different sizes stacked together. If one is traveling to Kandy via Kegalle, Mawanella, worshiping the Devanagala Raja Maha Viharaya on this gloriously beautiful Devanagala monastery will help the Buddhist shrine. Thanks for visiting.
