Absolutely beautiful morning down at Sandgate this morning for the weekly Parkrun event. This Parkrun is an extremely popular location for runners and walkers, with picturesque views throughout the course as you make your way around the waterfront, and out on to the Shorncliffe pier before tracking back to complete the 5km circuit.
Sandgate is a northern Suburb of Brisbane, and is approximately 30 minutes drive from the city centre. It is positioned on the coast making it an extremely popular exercise spot for walkers, runners, and cyclists. It’s also popular for fishing, as well as just relaxing and enjoying the cool ocean breeze in summer, or the beautiful views it withholds.
The body clock had me up nice and early, which meant I could snap up a few photos of the sun coming up as I got my warm-up in this morning.
Caught up with a work mate and his lovely partner this morning, both Hive enthusiasts. These guys got me into Parkrun, and between them have clocked up well over 100 different locations.
Managed to run a Parkrun PB this morning too. Beautiful scenery in Sandgate as we made our way around the waterfront. Didn’t get as many photos as I would have liked, but definitely a peaceful suburb with a nice little town centre, and plenty of little cafes and coffee shops for that post-run fix.
