Good Morning Travel Lovers, hope everybody is well and having a peaceful weekend. Today I’m going to take you on a quick trip through one on my favourite places to spend my Sunday morning in Brisbane, Australia. Hope you enjoy 😁
Redcliffe is a coastal suburb of the Moreton Bay Region, and is located about 30 minutes drive from the Brisbane CBD. It’s an extremely popular area to live with the plentiful natural beauty and activities that are accessible in the area. Coastal walks with amazing ocean views, plenty of green areas with trees and parks. It’s the perfect escape from the hustle bustle of the busy city life, yet only a 30 minute drive.
We drove here from our home this morning, to go for a coastal walk as it was a beautiful morning, and then to further explore the Sunday Markets that occupy the main streets from 8am to 12pm on a Sunday. Without further a due.. LESSGO
Another popular attraction associated with Redcliffe is its free access Lagoon. This Lagoon is an extremely popular swimming spot in the summer months especially. Perfect for younger children with water features that can keep them occupied.
This is only a 5 minute walk from the Main Street which consists of some awesome restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops. Offering great diversity for families that want to spend the day there.
Once we finished exploring and soaking up the beautiful coastal and ocean scenery we embarked on a journey through the Redcliffe Markets.
Every Sunday morning the Main Street is lined with hundreds of different small businesses and stalls. A diverse range of stalls exist with arts and crafts, clothing, grocery, fruit and vegetables, and food stalls making up the majority.
There’s heaps to explore, and it’s always good to support local in my eyes.
We ventured through the markets from one end to the other, which was probably about 1km in distance, so as you could imagine plenty to check out.
We were pretty hungry by then, so naturally we hit up a couple food stalls. There’s a huge variety of foods to choose from, and is the main reason a lot of people head down. Affordable breakfast with a beautiful view, what’s not to like.
We basked in some more early morning sunlight as we enjoyed our breakfast. Despite a lot of people being there, it was still extremely peaceful with plenty of space to enjoy the ocean views.
Redcliffe is an awesome little suburb that really has it all. From all the restaurants and cafes, shops, parklands, and sporting/recreational facilities. I believe there’s something for everyone, and that is why it’s such a popular spot for Brisbane locals to reside.
It’s one of our favourite spots to spend our weekend mornings, and we will definitely be back again.
Hope you guys enjoyed our trip through Redcliffe, and the remainder of your weekend is revitalising and fulfilling ✌️
