Art is in the eye of the beholder ...
When the sun hides behind clouds and the wet gold patters down, it's time to retire from the beach and enjoy the beauty of life elsewhere.
Lisbon offers a lot to art lovers. Especially in the National Museum of Contemporary Art you can find all sorts of wonderful works. This museum is one of my favorite places. That’s why I am writing about it today!
The museum can be found in the Chiado district. It was founded in 1911.
You can admire works from the period between 1850 and 1950, many of the most popular Portuguese artists of that time can be seen there and even some foreign artists. This museum holds the best collection of Portuguese painting, as well as sculptures of the Romantic, natural and modern art.
Since 1911, the Chiado Museum in Lisbon has been visited, and the building has a medieval origins.
While strolling through the corridors and halls, the eye sees many amazing things of the past few days. The art objects are enormous and inspire every artist's heart. But look for yourself and form an opinion about it. I could barely leave my fingers on the camera, because I wanted to capture as much digital as possible ... I hope you like it.

Kunst liegt im Auge des Betrachters...
Wenn die Sonne sich mal hinter Wolken versteckt und das nasse Gold nieder prasselt ist es an der Zeit sich vom Strand zurückzuziehen und anders wo die Schönheit des Lebens zu genießen.
Lissabon bietet Kunstliebhabern vieles. Gerade im Nationalmuseum für “zeitgenössische Kunst” kann man allerlei wundervolle Werke bestaunen. Diese Museum gehört zu einen meiner Lieblingsorten. Weshalb ich heute darüber schreibe. Zu finden ist das Museum im Stadtteil Chiado. Gegründet wurde es im Jahre 1911.
Zu bestaunen sind vor allem Werke aus der Zeit zwischen 1850 und 1950, viele der bedeutendsten portugiesischen Künstler dieser Zeit kann man dort sehen und sogar manch ausländischen Künstler. Dieses Museum ist im Besitz der besten Sammlung portugiesischer Malerei, so wie Skulpturen der Romantik, Naturalismus und Modernen Kunst.
Seit 1911 ist das Chiado-Museum in Lissabon zu besuchen, das Gebäude hat wiederum mittelalterlichen Ursprung.
Beim schlendern durch die Korridore und Hallen erblickt das Auge vieles erstaunliches der vergangenen Tage. Die Kunstobjekte sind enorm und inspirieren jedes Künstler Herz. Doch schaut selbst und bildet euch eine Meinung darüber. Ich konnte die Finger kaum von der Kamera lassen, wollte ich doch so viel wie möglich digital festhalten... ich hoffe es gefällt.
