Ayubia is a popular picnic point in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Ayubia is 26 kilometers far from the tourist's favorite destination Murree. Every year around 100,000 tourists come to Ayubia to visit scenic surrounding areas and enjoy the natural beauty of it. It is well known for its picnic spots. Ayubia's average elevation is 8,000 feet above sea level. Ayubia was named after Muhammad Ayub Khan (1958–1969), second President of Pakistan. Ayubia National Park is a protected area of 3,312 hectares located in Abbottabad. It was declared a national park in 1984. Ayubia's weather is mostly cold and clouds are very low.
In Ayubia you can do different adventurous things like tracking, hiking, chairlift ride, shopping of traditional gifts and can also enjoy wildlife in Ayubia National Park. Pipeline Walking Track in Ayubia is one of the beautiful walking tracks in Pakistan and all over world, having a length of 4 kilometers and runs from Ayubia to Nathiagali. Pipeline Walking Track is a must visit place in Ayubia.
Ayubia chairlift is also a main attraction for tourists but ticket que is long and you have to wait patiently for your turn. People who are interested to take chairlift ride come early to grab the ticket. Ayubia chairlift takes the visitors to Mushkpuri top for a view of the forested hills. Ayubia chairlift was the first recreation facility developed in Pakistan and is still a major attraction for visitors. Chairlift is swift and you reach at the top quickly and surrounding view is also beautiful. You are floating in a clouds. At the top a small park is also constructed for children. Although park situation is not good and must repair all rides.
As access to Ayubia by car is easy as all roads are in good condition. You also find a large number of hotels and restaurants around the Ayubia and service is great and not much expensive. The famous PTDC motel is also located in Ayubia. Online booking of hotel is also available and you can use different travel apps for this purpose.
As Murree is a busy spot because of a large number of visitors so Ayubia is best place if you are a peace lover. If you want to enjoy the nature then wake-up early and do some morning walk. Because after 11 am it becomes a crowded place then you can enjoy tracking and hike to Mushkpuri top.
