A launch pad for a spaceship?

I like to play with the imagination and obviously the photo does not portray a launching pad but it might seem so. True?

The other day I went to the Church of Santa Cecilia to see an exhibition of nativity scenes and I took some photos.

Santa Cecilia is the church of the "Poggio Tre Galli" district of Potenza, the neighborhood where I live.
It is a church built not many years ago (inaugurated in 1994) and therefore does not have much history.
Although the construction style is modern, it is a pretty and particular church.
It is also the church where I got married.

The photo shows a part of the apse of the church.

I am not a photographer and I take photos for my personal pleasure and I liked this photo and for this reason I share it with you.

The next photo is the original photo without effects and modifications.

Better the black and white version or the color version?

I really like cribs, when I look at a crib I relive good memories of when I was a child, when I had fun building it together with my father.

Mi piace giocare con l'immaginazione e ovviamente la foto non ritrae una rampa di lancio ma potrebbe sembrarlo. Vero?

L'altro giorno sono stato nella Chiesa di Santa Cecilia per vedere una mostra di presepi e ho scattato qualche foto.

Santa Cecilia è la chiesa del quartiere "Poggio Tre Galli" di Potenza, il quartiere dove vivo.
E' una chiesa costruita non molti anni fa (inaugurata nel 1994) e quindi non ha molta storia.
Anche se lo stile di costruzione è moderno è una chiesa graziosa e particolare.
E' anche la chiesa in cui mi sono sposato.

La foto ritrae una parte dell'abside della chiesa.

Non sono un fotografo e scatto foto per mio piacere personale e questa foto mi è piaciuta e per questo motivo la condivido con voi.

La foto successiva è invece la foto originale senza effetti e modifiche.

Meglio la versione in b/n o la versione a colori?

A crib has also been set up in the church.
My daughter and I stopped to look at the crib and I took some photos.
I present each photo in the double version: black / white and color.

The girl you see in the picture is my daughter.
She too like me suffers the charm of the crib.

Nella chiesa è stato allestito anche un presepe.
Io e mia figlia ci siamo fermati a guardare il presepe e io ho scattato alcune foto.
Vi presento ogni foto nella duplice versione b/n e colore.

La bimba che vedete in foto è mia figlia.
Anche lei come me subisce il fascino del presepe.

Mi piacciono molto i presepi, risvegliano in me ricordi di quando ero bambino, quando mi divertivo a costruirlo insieme a mio padre.

In general, when there are strong contrasts between light and shadow, I almost always prefer to transform a color photo into black and white.
The black and white photo is often more intimate and deep and the imagination has more spaces to color.

In genere quando ci sono forti contrasti tra luci e ombre preferisco quasi sempre trasformare una foto a colori in bianco e nero.
La foto in bianco e nero è spesso più imtima e profonda e l'immaginazione ha più spazi da colorare.
