Vanilla Cafe is housed at Kamiseta Hotel. The stark white color of the building does not reveal anything what is inside. Only the blue door gives a hint. As you enter the establishment, it's a very different world - it is like entering Wonderland.
Kamiseta Hotel is a boutique hotel located at 20 Brgy Lualhati, Ignacio Villamor St, Baguio, Benguet.
My first time at Vanilla Cafe was a let down. The cupcakes were sweet. That's it. The pasta was dry and tiny serving. Everything is as pricey as gold! Not worth it. The only good thing I got from that first experience was how beautiful the place is.
I was hesistant to give this a chance again but glad I did. First impression lasts if you don't give it another chance.
Entering the cafe greets you with colors everywhere! You don't know where to start and at the same time you keep looking.
But first things first - desserts!
It was late when we got there. There were only five choices of cupcakes available. There were a couple of customers. I thought they were about to close.
We opted for the salted caramel, vanilla sky and carrot cupcakes.
We initially started with salted caramel and vanilla sky and Earl Gray Tea for me. My companion ordered an additional potato chippies.
I tasted the salted caramel first and I was surprised how huge of a difference it was than my first time. It's soft that almost melts in your mouth. The sweetness of both the icing and bread is well balanced. Based on that, I will give it 5/5.
Next was Vanilla Sky. First bite is good. Second and third bites and I'm tired of it. The flavor and sweetness is not my liking. It looks nice but does taste that good. I give this 2/5.
We also tried carrot cupcake. This is in the middle of the two cupcakes we tasted. I like the carrot tidbits. Maybe because we got tired of the sweetness of the first two that our taste buds had enough of it. I give this 3/5.
I like the salted caramel a lot that I ordered another one.
Finding a place to do some editing, this is where our searching had taken us.
Every corner, wall and ceiling of this place is a combination of cuteness, elegance, pretty, beautiful, vibrant, colorful, cozy, etc because of the different designs of the armchairs, different prints and patterns, different sizes. Every chair is comfortable.
The place is alive with colors I just can't stop taking photos.
It's hard to decide where to sit. Every chair is cozy.
We chose to sit outside where it was enclosed in glass. This gives a spacious and bright ambiance. The surrounding mountains and lushness is just perfect. What a relaxing place to be!
Fireplace, windows, dressers were also decorated to add more colors. Colorful lamps and chandeliers also added beauty.
Even the toilet did not escape the decoration.
I find this note funny.
The lamps were better when they were lit.
The hotel's logo is ever present as well. They are engraved in mirrors, painted in walls, etc.
There is also an area designated for smokers.
The monsoon season is here to stay. Strong rains accompanied by winds dampen the mood. It was a good decision that we came here. This place lifts your spirit. It was a good decision that we came here. The cupcakes were better than I expected. Still pricey but at least the texture, the flavor and balance of sweetness improved. The colors and warmth of the cafe is something worth experiencing.
Come and satisfy your sweeth tooth and feast your eyes at Vanilla Cafe.
Photos were taken by me using my phone and my companion's.
