Purworejo is my hometown. I was born there. I spent my kid and teen in the town. It is not a big city. It is just a small town with most people are farmers. I grew there with a lot of joy. I spent my day in river and rice field. Now , the town has grown to be beautiful place. There are many places that you can visit in this town.

Purworejo is about one hour in the west of Yogyakarta city.

The layer of the city is complete. In the south, it is bordered by the south sea, and in the north is menoreh mountainous area so that Purworejo has beautiful nature of views.
The most popular sites in Purworejo are ;

1. Hutan Pinus Kalilo ( Pine Forest Kalilo

It is located in Kalilo, Tlogoguwo, Kaligesing, Purworejo Regency, Central Java.

2. Sigendol Hill

Location: Wutan, Giyombong, Bruno, Purworejo Regency, Central Java. It is intagramable spots. Paradise of photography. You can take beautiful photos like living on air. People called Khayangan Sigendol. Khayangan means a place above the sky.

3. Goa Seplawan

Location : Katerban, Donorejo, Kaligesing, Purworejo Regency, Central Java. Goa means cave. Goa splawan is undeground cave. The location is also a paradise for photographers. You can see the natural stalactites and stalagmites in the cave. The cave was found in 1979. At that time , a gold statue is found in the cave. Now the gold statue is kept in National Museum Jakarta.

4. Ketawang beach

Ketawang beach is located in Ketawang Purworejo. The beach is in the south sea layer. The wave is very big and sometimes dangerous. Many visitors were sunk and died when they played in the beach. However, the view is beautiful. There is also a kite festival in the beach. Many kite artists join the competition.
Thanks for reading and that is my hometown Purworejo. I miss the city too, now I am far away from the town. It is about 1000 Km away.
