In general, every time I go to a place I'm satisfied with having visited it and that is why I'm always looking for other lands to explore. My country Argentina has a fairly large territory and in it you can find a lot of beautiful places to walk and enjoy a good vacation. On our last impromptu trip with my family we had the opportunity to visit a new place that was on my to-do list and luckily it came to fruition. It is the city of Miramar de Ansenuza in the province of Córdoba, and in this Wednesday Walk I am going to share the first walk we did there. I hope you like it ❤️.
Por lo general, cada vez que voy a un lugar quedo conforme con haberlo visitado y por eso siempre estoy en la búsqueda de otras tierras para explorar. Mi país Argentina tiene un territorio bastante extenso y en él se pueden encontrar un montón de lugares hermosos para pasear y disfrutar de unas buenas vacaciones. En nuestro último viaje improvisado con mi familia tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar un lugar nuevo que estaba en mi lista de pendientes y por suerte se pudo materializar. Se trata de la ciudad de Miramar de Ansenuza en la provincia de Córdoba, y en este Wednesday Walk voy a compartir la primer caminata que hicimos por ahí. Espero que les guste ❤️.
To get to this place we did almost 750 km in total, with an intermediate stop to spend the night. Our trips are always as relaxed as possible so we take our time getting there. Also, my cousin doesn't like to drive at night so we always take advantage of the day to be on the road. After having visited the waterfront of the Paraná River in the city of San Lorenzo, Santa Fe, we continued our journey to the province of Córdoba where we would spend most of our days. This last section was only 300 km long, so before 3 PM we finally arrived 😃.
Para llegar hasta este lugar hicimos casi 750 km en total, con una para intermedia para pasar la noche. Nuestros viajes siempre son lo más relajados posible así que nos tomamos nuestro tiempo en llegar. Además, a mi primo no le gusta manejar en la noche así que siempre aprovechamos el día para estar en la ruta. Después de haber visitado la costanera del Río Paraná en la ciudad de San Lorenzo, Santa Fe, continuamos nuestro recorrido hasta la provincia de Córdoba en donde pasaríamos la mayoría de nuestros días. Este último tramo solo era de 300 km, así que para antes de las 3 de la tarde finalmente llegamos 😃.
Although we had already eaten a bit while traveling, when we arrived we had lunch again in a small restaurant and after that we went for a walk along the waterfront before the sun went down. This place is a seaside resort on the shores of the Mar Chiquita Lagoon, the largest lagoon in Argentina, and its tourism is quite geared towards that. The edge of the lagoon is made of dirt, rocks and grass, but everything is prepared to spend a pleasant day at the beach. We also saw that there was an excursion service to navigate the lagoon, as well as rental of bicycles and carts to travel along the waterfront. It all looked pretty cute ❤️.
A pesar de que ya habíamos comido un poco mientras viajábamos, cuando llegamos almorzamos de nuevo en un pequeño restaurant y después de eso salimos a dar una vuelta por la costanera antes de que se fuera el sol. Este lugar es una ciudad balnearia a orillas de la Laguna Mar Chiquita, la laguna más grande de Argentina, y su turismo está bastante orientado a eso. La orilla de la laguna es de tierra, rocas y pasto, pero todo está preparado como para pasar un agradable día de playa. También vimos que había un servicio de excursiones para navegar en la laguna, así como alquiler de bicicletas y carritos para recorrer la costanera. Todo se veía bastante lindo ❤️.
Luckily I had the opportunity to be in the province of Córdoba several times, but this place was unlike any I have seen before. When one says Córdoba, the first thing one imagines is a landscape with mountains and beautiful rivers, but this place was not like that at all. Miramar de Ansenuza has its unique charm as a seaside resort and I was quite surprised that it is not as widespread in tourism as the other destinations. Their vacation offer looked pretty good, with a central area of restaurants, businesses, and different types of accommodation such as hotels, cabins, and campsites, everything you need to have a good stay 😃.
Por suerte yo tuve la oportunidad de estar en la provincia de Córdoba varias veces, pero este lugar era diferente a cualquiera que haya visto antes. Cuando uno dice Córdoba lo primero que se imagina es un paisaje con montañas y hermosos ríos, pero este lugar no se parecía en absoluto a eso. Miramar de Ansenuza tiene su encanto único de balneario y me sorprendió bastante que no esté tan difundido a nivel turístico como los demás destinos. Su oferta vacacional se veía bastante bien, con zona céntrica de restaurantes, negocios y distintos tipos de alojamiento como hoteles, cabañas y campings, todo lo necesario para pasar una buena estadía 😃.
But besides being the largest lagoon in Argentina, this lagoon is also special because its water has a high salt content, similar to the Dead Sea. On our walk we got a little closer to the shore and we could see that the coast looked somewhat salty, much less than I imagined but there it was. I had already seen a lagoon like this in the south of Buenos Aires, the Laguna Epecuén, so it was great to see another similar one ❣️.
Pero además de ser la laguna más grande ee Argentina, esta laguna también es especial porque su agua tiene un elevado contenido de sal, similiar al Mar Muerto. En nuestra caminata nos acercamos un poco a la orilla y pudimos ver que la costa se veía con algo de sal, bastantante menos que la que me imaginaba pero ahí estaba. Yo ya había vistado una laguna así en el sur de Buenos Aires, la Laguna Epecuén, así que fue genial ver otra similar ❣️.
Unlike the Epecuén lagoon, it was noticeable that it was much larger. When looking at the horizon you couldn't see anything beyond, so it was almost like being in the sea. In fact, the locals call this place 'the sea of Córdoba' and this title is well deserved. At that time, not because it was winter, but I saw that in the summer people go into the water of the lagoon to cool off a bit. I don't know if you have ever experienced entering a lagoon with a high salt content, but the effect is very funny: due to the difference in densities, if you dive into the water you immediately float. This is something I was able to do in Laguna Epecuén, and it was one of the most fun things on that trip 😃.
A diferencia de la laguna de Epecuén, esta se notaba que era muchísimo más grande. Al mirar al horizonte no se veía nada más allá, asi que era casi como estar en el mar. De hecho, los lugareños llaman a este lugar 'el mar de Córdoba' y este título es bien merecido. En ese momento no porque era invierno, pero vi que en el verano la gente se mete al agua de la laguna para refrescarse un poco. No sé si algún día han experimentado meterse a una laguna con alto contenido de sal, pero el efecto es muy divertido: por diferencia de densidades, si te sumergis en el agua flotas inmediatamente. Esto es algo que pude hacer en la Laguna Epecuén, y fue una de las cosas más divertidas de ese viaje 😃.
One of the most satisfying things about each walk is seeing how what I once wanted materializes: when I heard about this place I thought it would be great to see it and some time later I was able to do so. I had never been in this part of Córdoba and with this trip I was able to add a little more to my list of points visited in this province. I hope that with the passage of time this place will have more significance because it deserves it and that everyone can come for a good walk along the Córdoba seafront ❤️.
Una de las cosas más satisfactorias de cada paseo es ver como se materializa lo que alguna vez deseé: cuando escuché hablar sobre este lugar pensé en que sería genial conocerlo y tiempo más tarde pude hacerlo. Nunca había estado en esta parte de Córdoba y con este viaje pude complementar un poco más mi lista de puntos visitados en esta provincia. Espero que con el paso del tiempo este lugar tenga más trascendencia porque se lo merece y que todos puedan venir a hacer una buena caminata en la costanera del mar cordobés ❤️.
