A genius or a vandal?
June 2, 2018 in Moscow in the Central House of Artists opened a personal exhibition Banksy, a famous street art artist, changed the idea of art. For the first time in Russia about 100 exhibits were exhibited, among them original unique works, 3d objects, rare prints, photographs and much more.
The exposition of the exhibition is made up of the collections of the Lilley Fine Art gallery, several contemporary art museums, as well as private collections of collectors from all over the world. For the first time, a special multimedia zone was created at the exhibition, introducing visitors to the work of the legendary graffiti artist.
The mysterious artist, the man, "catch me if you can", provocateur and joker, he changed the mass view of street art. His ironic and witty works directed against politics, war, capitalism and moralizing become the subject of hunting for journalists, photographers, vandals, art critics and collectors. The so-called "Banksy effect", a huge interest in street art and street artists, which began in 2006, blew up the world art market - graffiti-work done on the brink of kich, began to be sold at prestigious auctions for record amounts. Banksy's art is modern mythology, enveloped in many secrets, intrigues, provocations and scandals.
