Without a doubt, when you have a craving for lok lok and char koay teow, this is the place that I can think of to fix both craving at one spot, at the same time! Well, this is a spot where my dad recommend to us and brought us here like years ago when I came back to hometown for family gathering. Weirdly, this lok lok stall only operates during daytime, so it is best to come during noon time to enjoy the delicacy for lunch. When I visited last weekend, it was not that crowded but I could see people enjoyed the food.

The laksa

@enjiliew and I went to ordered Char Koay Teow and also Penang Asam Laksa to settle all three cravings at one shot. Unfortunately, the laksa that we wanted to get was not open during Monday, so resorting to this stall which was less tasty, but acceptable. The drinks here were not that great though, so it is best to just order coconut water which is very refreshing when you drink it and enjoying lok lok at the same time.

Eating at the Chinese food side

The famous and memorable lok lok

For the lok lok, the boss is very friendly and love to engage with the customers. He will recommend which is the best food suitable to our liking and he is truly sincere about it. The thing I like most is the Satay gravy. With that, I can literally eat anything by covering the food with the gravy. A heavenly experience for me and my family (@enjiliew is slightly conservative here taking less gravy as she is more health conscious :P). Price wise, it is reasonable which both of us ate around 14 MYR worth of lok lok, very satisfying. The Char Koay Teow also costed 5.5 MYR which is also reasonable, similar with the laksa.

So to whom dropping by Penang, do come here during lunch hour to enjoy these delicacy at one spot! It is worth your taste bud and tummy.

Ohya, the place is a pretty nice courtyard style public building that host different hawker stalls. I love the architecture which well resemble the unity of two main culture (Malay and Chinese) in the same premise.
