Travelling in fasting little more difficult than when travelling when you can stop anywhere and anytime to heal your thirst and hunger. But sometimes, the hungry and thirsty just a matter of taste and mindset. The proof is that there are people who are indeed able to survive for days without eating and drinking, some of them when they find food, the hunger becomes lost.
Fasting is not an excuse to hinder your travel, even in the course of wise man, most of them do long travel while fasting. Travel is travel, even though food and drinks are the travel support. But we were taught to deal with this condition, even if we were hungry and thirsty.
If you ever see the crazy people who always walk without food and drink, then basically the strength of the body is also very influenced by the way of thinking. If you feel hungry, then you will get hungry. Likewise when you and you feel as the most thirsty person in the world, you will find your life only thirsty. Of course, Hunger and thirst are impossible to avoid in fasting, but you can fulfill your hunger and thirst with positive activities such as traveling to pleasant places.
Traveling to pleasant places will make your mind calmer, and you will be easier to control what your body wants. Can you do it at once? No, you need to practice regurally and one way is to fast.
My travel today to Banda Aceh more or less for 4 hours driving a car. You can imagine how I should concentrate while riding, sometimes the temptation to end this fast by drinking mineral water that I put in the back seat, especially long trips can be a reason accepted by religion not to fast. But I didn't do it because I wanted to test the extent of my body's resistance and I had to be able to train it to face difficult times.
Then what positive things can change my hunger and thirst feels? Yes, here I stop to enjoy nature with the golden-hour photograph. I changed my hunger to some beautiful pictures, even the glass of my car made it as an object that captures the beauty of the sky. As I said in my last post, I took this picture with my Canon 800D and my smartphone too. Now my hunger feeling has become something meaningful. Please enjoy it.
