Meine letzten Posts zeigen Western Australia, heute und in meinen nächsten Posts geht es vor allem um die Ostküste Australiens, wo wir eine sehr lange Zeit verbracht haben. Einige der tollsten Orte möchte ich hier mit euch teilen.
Definitiv ein Highlight unserer Reise bisher war Lady Elliott Island. Das ist eine sehr kleine Insel im great barrier reef, die südlichste Koralleninsel des barriere-Riffs vor Australiens Ostküste. Sie liegt im Bundesstaat Queensland. Die nächstegelegene insel ist fraser Island, zu welcher ich in meinen nächsten Posts auch sehr viel zu erzählen habe 😅
Die Anreise zu Lady Elliott erfolgt nur über ein kleines Flugzeug, indem es zugegebenermaßen ziemlich wackelig war, mit dem Kapitän gab es insgesamt 8 Passagiere. Der Flug hat etwa 1-1,5 Stunden gedauert, die Zeit ging aber durch die tolle Aussicht viel schneller rum als gedacht. Auf der insel angekommen gab es eine Tour mit einem Schiff und danach konnte man frei schnorcheln. Wenn man eine Pause braucht kann man in dem direkt neben den Strand liegenden Resort essen gehen.
Das Reef war leider schon teilweise sehr abgestorben und die Korallen nicht bunt und farbig. Dafür gab es eine tolle Artenvielfalt zu sehen! Wir konnten Rochen, Haie, seeehr viele Schildkröten und bunte Fische beobachten. Auch wenn der eine Tag auf Lady Elliott nicht ganz günstig war, kann ich es jedem nur empfehlen, einmal dorthin zu fliegen wenn man schon einmal in Queensland ist. Es war bisher unser schönster Tag in Australien! :)

My last Posts show Western Australia, today and my next Posts are mainly about the east coast of Australia, where we spent a very long time. One of the most beautiful places i would like to share with you here. Definitly a Highlight of our trip was Lady Elliott Island. Lady Elliott Island ist a very small Island at the great barrier reef and the most southern coral Island of the great barrier reef off australias eastern cost. The nearest island is fraser Island and i have a lot to tell you about it in my next Posts 😅
You can only get to the island via a small airplane. It is quite shaky in there, but it was ok. Within the Captain there were 8 passengers. The flight took about 1-1.5 hours, but the time went by much faster because of the great View.
When we arrived at the Island there was a tour with a ship and then we snorkeled the whole day. If you need a break, you can eat in the resort next to the beach.
Unfortunately the Reef was very dead cshon and the corals Not colorful. But there was a great biodiversity to see! We could see rays, sharks, many turtles and colorful fish.
Although the day here wasnt very cheap, i can only recommend to visit Lady Elliott Island. It has been our best day in Australia so far!
