Since childhood, I like to ride trains. I like this mode of transport thanks to my grandmother, who often took me on rail rides. I liked to sit by the window and watch the world go by at a different pace than usual. More smoothly than when driving a car. When we look out the window of a moving train it is very good for our brain that relaxes.

As I wrote in Japan, one of the attractions was traveling with super-fast Shinkansen trains. At the train museum in Kyoto, you can see both these modern trains as well as slightly older and even historic ones. The Japanese created phenomenal mockups with many train routes with known precision. The effect is very realistic, they built entire cities, tunnels, stations and green areas.

I invite you to wander around the museum and see the various trains.

A cool atmosphere is created by lighting the houses from the inside, streetlights are on. Every detail of urban reality has been shown.

To add realism to this place, even a traffic accident situation was created ;)

The huge, half-divided hall has a bridge that you can enter and see the routes with moving trains from a different perspective - see the whole from above.

In addition to the routes along which the trains travel, the museum also has various models of trains that stand still, which gives you the chance to take a closer look at them.

Small, "toy" models for children are also interesting.

There are also ship models in the museum.

Some models can be bought. The prices are quite high. 44,000 yen is about 410 USD or 378 Euro.

There is also something for Otaku - anime figurines. In this picture you can see Totoro.
