The annual Orthodox exhibition "Orthodox World" was held in Odessa. The exhibition is located on the street. 28. This event is held with the blessing of Metropolitan Agafangel of Odessa and Izmail. The event was organized and conducted by the missionary department of the Odessa diocese. This event can rightly be considered international.

What could I see

The exhibition, this is an original acquaintance with various church parishes, monasteries, cathedrals and so on. Each participant seeks to talk about themselves, to show what they do and offer their products to visitors.

Various church goods were presented here. Icons, crosses, souvenirs, literature, works of Orthodox themes, made by own hands and so on. Many participants offered visitors products of their own production.

Let's talk about the exhibition

The organizers set themselves certain goals. They wanted to introduce Odessa citizens and guests of the city to representatives of various monasteries, cathedrals, dioceses and so on. During the exhibition it was possible to take part in various discussions, listen to the sermons of representatives of other dioceses, ask questions to participants and try to find answers to them.

Representatives of monasteries offered not only to look at these or other goods, but also at will, to acquire. Such exhibitions allow a simple person to join the spiritual world. Feel the divine touch on yourself.

For example, I bought a few icons and a liter jar of real honey. It is important that all the goods are blessed by the abbots of the monasteries and lords of the parishes. Even honey, which is very useful, becomes even more valuable.

I liked the fact that it was possible to meet representatives of other countries. Near the representatives of Greece has always been crowded.

Visitors admired the wonderful work of the masters, who offered not only icons, but also a variety of products for everyday life. Each product carries spiritual grace and author's origin. There were no mass-produced goods. Each product is unique in its own way.

I bought a few souvenirs for my children and my wife. The kids bought silver crosses, and his wife was pleased with the gold.

Manual work will not leave anyone indifferent. Each icon is executed with special trepidation and love. It is a pity that the exhibition was short-term. I would like such events to be held as often as possible. We need to join the spiritual world of our ancestors.
