Today, as before, I bring to your attention a special material. Yes, yes, yes, this post will be unusual. It is dedicated to many. For children, wives and men. So, we read and evaluate what I got.
Odessa is a port city
Everyone knows that Odessa is a port city. Amazing people live here with a special charm and flavor. Many residents of the city and region cannot live without the sea. Fathers, grandfathers, sons go sailing regularly. They haven't been home for months. But they are awaited!
Monument to the sailor's wife
At the Odessa Marine Station there is a woman and a child who gaze into the sea every day. They are waiting for the return of their husband and father. These two stand by the railing and gaze into the blue of the sea. They know that their loved one is far away now.
At the same time, they perfectly understand that Saint Nicholas is worried about his life and health. It was in honor of the patron saint of all sailors that the St. Nicholas Church was built at the Marine Station. The patron saint should be close to his charges.
A woman holds a baby in her arms. The kid is waiting for his father to return. The child, with a wave of his hand, shows that the father is there, beyond the horizon. He knows that his father loves him. That dad wants to return as quickly as possible, safe and sound.
Personally, I believe that sailor families are heroic people. Wives do not see their beloved husbands for months. Children greet their father as if he had not been at home for several centuries. But, the Odessa kid is used to frequent paternal absences. A child's heart takes it all for granted. The child, seeing his father on the deck of the ship, shouts to him as if they parted about 15 minutes ago.
Already at an early age, children themselves get used to the sea, waves and the sound of the surf. They cannot understand how it is possible to live where there is no big water. Growing up, some associate their lives with the sea. They become sailors for long-distance voyages, domestic sea voyages, cruise ships, fishing boats, and so on. Even those who do not go to sea try to visit the seashore at least three times a week, fish a goby, collect mussels, admire the beauty of the Black Sea and breathe in the clean, pleasant sea air. It is fresh and heady, it can turn anyone's head.
So today I decided to talk about the children and wives of sailors. Children, even without the every second support of their fathers, grow up brave and stern, like the most real sea wolves. Wives are the standard of devotion. They protect their feelings from various dangers and temptations. Those who walk hand in hand with a sailor all their lives are worthy of special respect.
