Dining with a backdrop of the white sand and turquoise waters was the best decision my husband (@panoramicview) and I did when we visited Cauayan, Negros Occidental early this year. It was for our third anniversary and although they were fully booked, we were glad that the management allowed us to have lunch at their in-house restaurant which they refer as La Veranda.
We walked past their beautiful accommodations, I saw sliding capiz-doors of each room, these were vacation family house of the owner turned into a resort and spa. An infinity pool was in front of the superior and deluxe accommodations in their hotel building.
Oh, I was really jealous of that guest sitting under the beach umbrella sipping her mango juice, or perhaps that was pineapple? I don't know but one thing I was aware of, this resort is a gem located in an isolated area in this part of town.
Oh, if you wonder, I had to wait for her to get out of the chairs to get a good photo.
A very accommodating staff showed our way towards their in-house restaurant, La Veranda which was just facing the Palawan sea, if that's how its called but based on our research, we were facing the seas towards Palawan Islands. I already imagined seeing the sunset here, it would be a very romantic place to spend a night! All I can do was imagine at this point.
Bean bags were also placed just a few meters away from the shoreline. There were beach chairs too!
And some dining table and chairs just incase guests would like to dine right next to the beach!
The restaurant has a rustic theme, its made of thick wood trunks for its foundation, white colored cloth swings, and dances with the wind and their light decoration would definitely look gorgeous at night, again, I was imagining.
Below is our view while inside the restaurant:
Although their menu is little expensive which I also understand because this place is really a few miles away from the main town of Negros Occidental. I wonder where they get their supplies though but the pricing is just understandable plus the ambiance of the beach is what we paid for.
I went overboard though with ordering food. I really thought we were hungry but when served, I realized I ordered dishes good for four.
Calamari
Fish Curry with Mangoes
Pancit Guisado
Anyways, we ate a lot but still weren't able to finish everything. But we sure love their Cinnamon bread, the Fish Curry, and their Pancit Guisado.
