"No tents allowed" - this is what we read at Quinale Beach Bar's information board in Anda, Bohol. I was disheartened upon reading it but as my cousin-in-law who works in DSWD told me, shorelines are not owned by anyone, even those which are in front of private resorts, anyone can enjoy the beach and the shoreline.

So, with a smile, I asked the lady at the restaurant's front desk and asked politely about the sign. She nodded but advised me to go further next to where there's a private resort and pitch our tent there. I was glad, at least we don't have to go to another place. Actually, we came from Warren Beach which was our go-to public beach but there were so many people there that parking was so challenging so we decided to transfer to Anda.

Our goal was just to test the tent that we just ordered from an online store. It worked well, it was easy to set up and it also came with three camping chairs, the seller missed shipping the table though so I requested that they send it soon as well.

I was really happy we moved here to Anda because there are lights all around and we didn't bring a single flashlight, so the lights were really helpful. Perhaps the only case was that Matti got disappointed he couldn't get into the water. In Anda Quinale Beach Bar, when it's low tide, the water is far from the shoreline, around 20 meters or more away and we can't leave our tent and stuff so we just stayed there. Matti settled with playing with his shovel and water can.

By the evening, we decided to order food from the restaurant and surprisingly, I met my high school friend who was with her family and was spending a night at a neighboring resort as well, they just had dinner at Quinale. I was glad to catch up a bit with her and how her family was going.

There were also groups in there who were like having some reunion gatherings and they got a live band, their songs and lights kept Matti very entertained, he kept pointing to the lights and how they were blinking and changing colors. I guess it was indeed a good decision we moved here.

We had dinner at around seven in the evening and stayed for more than an hour before we decided to go home. It was easy to take down the tent and put it inside the bag. Matti was already asleep while we were still on our way home.

Thanks for reading!
