You had to see it to believe it. We were going to the Wat Doi Prachan Temple in Northern Thailand (Lampang Province) and we came across the most beautiful "street art" in Lampang.
If you did not know these were paintings, I had to take a second look at a few of them because they were so real. They did a really nice job I would say.
The bike and chicken from afar I totally thought were real. It's hard to tell until you were closer. Can you even tell the window is painted?
I loved the color murals and use of the wall. It added color to the street. Very much appreciated. The blend of colors is something,
The art is telling a story of life and customs in Thailand.
We then moved to black and white photographic setting to capture this street view. It's was better to me in B&W mode vs. taking the same photo in color. I think it adds a sense of "drama" to the photo. Sometimes black and white photos actually look better than color. If you have seen the work of the late Ansel Adams and Yosemite photographs, I think you may agree.
The Temple was everything I heard. It was gothic, ornate, mixed with vibrant colors with some great views looking out.
The composition for this photo really caught my eye. The blend of colors and architecture are wonderful to the eye.
I enjoyed time with my family on this trip up to Chang Mai area. The Temple visit was actually my aunts idea so I thank her very much.
A perfect ending to a beautiful day...a colorful rainbow for us.
Inside was every bit as beautiful as I could imagine. The detail and effort to make such a beautiful Temple inside and out.
Such a great visit to a beautiful Temple. However, the unexpected please was having fun with the "street art" of Lampang. I never could have imagined that. Such a wonderful day. Thank you so much for allowing me to share our visit.
Thank you for reading.
