It's been a long time since I had a bowl of real Vietnam Pho Noodles and the most aromatic Vietnamese Dripped Coffee.
Yesterday our friend introduced us to a new eatery place at a remote place, and quiet environment housing area nearby Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur. It is a place we would not travel to unless needed because it will take up to 30-40 minutes to reach this area.
We were surprised by how easy it is to get a parking there, especially on a weekday. All we saw was a bunch of Grab Food and Food Panda delivery guys sitting there waiting and smoking, they have been a very popular trend here, people are lazy to drive out for food since the services of delivery is so easy now. No wonder the parking space is so easy to get here.
I love their decorations on the window glass.
Super Saigon, opened not more than 3 years ago, have been booming and so far have 6 outlets around Klang Valley. They are aimed to serve healthier Vietnamese food options because rice, noodles, fresh vegetables and herbs all play big roles in Vietnamese food, additional to that they have Quinoa to substitute the rice if you are on an off carbs diet program. How awesome is that!
According to them, the ambience and the colour combination was inspired by their travels to Santorini and Mykonos, no wonder I can feel the place is so Greece! Plus it's halal, so everyone can have a piece of these good food.
The place is very cosy inside, but because inside is too cold for us, we decided to move outside since it's after the rain, so the outdoor is not so hazy and it's cooling as well. Plus the lighting deco and all, how not to like this place.
The Simple Menu.
Would love to try their Bun Cha and Brokeh Rice next time! And the Royal Milky Cheese Soft Serve (it's Ice-cream on a cone) is super tempting!
Here's Our Food!
Chicken and Tiger Prawn Spring Rolls, RM 13.90 (USD 3.32)
The Spring Rolls are so colourful and fresh, no wonder freshness is their signatures. The tiger prawn given are very generous, and the grilled chicken, dipped them with their Peanut Sauce, yummilicious! Rose ordered this because she wasn't feeling too hungry, so this portion is just nice for her dinner.
Special Beef Combinations Pho, RM 20.90 (USD 4.99)
Medium Rare Sliced Beef and Beef Balls Pho, RM 18.90 (USD 4.51)
Both my friend and I ordered the Pho, but she chooses the combinations which contained sliced beef, beef brisket, beef tendon, beef tripes and beef balls. As for mine, just the Medium Rare sliced beef and beef balls as I'm not really fancy the internal organ parts.
As you can see the beef was still medium rare when it came, but if you let it dipped too long in the soup, it gets fully cooked, which is fine because it still tastes good. The soup is very riched and after added in the beef it tasted even better!
The bean sprouts, Thai basil and lemon are free to be added into your soup according to your liking. My friend add-on the Cakoi, which is the Chinese Churros, to go with the soup. It's really nice!
Hot Vietnamese Black Coffee, RM 6.90 (USD 1.65)
Ah, lastly my favourite!!! How can I go without tasting the aromatic Coffee! I was enjoying the dripping of the coffee and taking all sorts of photos and video, then I started to drink and realised halfway that I forgot to take the photo of the actual coffee! Silly me, so the last photo was half of the coffee portion... Hehehe...
I really like the gold colour of the coffee filter, with the embossed of their name, really cool!
I really enjoy my dinner here, will definitely come here again in near future, when I crave for the aromatic Vietnamese Coffee again!
Overall
I love the environment here, it's quiet and no loud music (some places just like to blast their music up), inside is relaxing and cosy, though the air-cond is a bit cold! That's why we decided to sit outside, which was nice with breezing wind after a short rain pour.
Food is definitely good, the price mostly below RM20 so I guess it still worth it since they served with imported Australian beef on their dishes, and the portion is not small too.
The staffs are very helpful, one of them even recognised us, because he used to work in another restaurant that we are frequent customers as well. So we were being extra taken care of that day. Nice!
I would recommend to try this place out if you are craving for a nice bowl of Pho with some juicy beef!
