After work last night my family met me near the office for the Inglewood night market. A few times over the summer local vendors get together and set up booths on the off streets around 9th Avenue. Food, clothing, jewelry, and about 100000 vendors that sell bath bombs for some reason. By about 7pm it's packed, and on a sunny warm evening everyone is out enjoying our short summer. Since I'm not much of a shopper, I decided to get a few pics.

If you're ever in the Calgary area during the summer, you're sure to find a festival or market to visit. Since summer is so short, everyone here tries to make the most of it. Of course the major festival is the Stampede - I'm quite looking forward to taking pictures of that to show you.

Field and canvas: Cute little flower shop out of the back of a vintage truck. It's like the whole set up was made for instagram....I think they know what they're doing.

I'm not sure what shop was on the other side of this great VW van, but i loved the little cactus.

We stopped in at the Nash for dinner. It's a lovely restaurant, they have a great prime rib that they do on the rotisserie. I can't say no to it, it's so delicious. The Nash has both a great restaurant and a great bar. It's often an after work haunt for people in our office. They're also not far from a local brewery - Cold Garden. We'll often go grab a few beers at the Garden, and then come here for dinner afterwards.

After dinner a bit more walking around and some fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade to help with the heat. All in all a pretty lovely way to spend a Friday night.

I'm so glad summer is finally here! The good news is, if you missed this one - there's lots of night markets still coming. Go here for a full schedule: http://www.inglewoodnightmarket.ca/
