It's nice to see things return to normal. Shops are opening up again and everything will be open next week in Laos.
I carried Gigi to the Namkhan River to give her a swimming lesson.
Puppies are a great swimming teacher for kids who can't swim. When they see a baby dog can do it, they know they can too.
If dogs lay around the street like this in most places they'd be goners. Luang Prabang is a truly special place with a chillness that makes it hard to return to big cities. It's a nice example showing us that life can be lived without going full throttle all the time.
We had these tasty mangos for dessert. They grow on the tallest trees and can only be eaten once a year.
Someone thought that rolling around in fish bones was a great idea. Guess who gets another bath? I had a pitbull who feared the hose like it was the devil, but after a summer of nice no water in the nose baths, she'd run to the cool water.
We went down to get dirt from the river because it's best for growing melons.
May 3rd is the official "back to normal" date here, but things are slowly coming back now.
Both sunrise and sunset look great with the rivers.
I don't even like this shot because it doesn't capture his Ewok look, but it was the only one I could get with Mano.
