Before I finish the story about my trip to the Trbusnica village in central Serbia, where the ethno complex Grandma's river is located, we will take a look at the gallery located in the first house that was built within the ethno village.
In front of the house where the gallery is located, there are also displayed motivational messages that decorate the whole place. Some of them are:
"If you want to change the world without hurting anyone, start with your world".
"Regret is a waste of time."
There is a water mill in front of the gallery. My daughter stood in front of the spinning wheel and admired the flowing water. The wheel says "wheel of fortune".
We went inside. In addition to the exhibited works of art, the gallery also receives guests for celebrations and then turns into a restaurant.
I started looking at pictures of naive art and exhibited items.
My son especially liked the wooden ship, and my daughter liked the cuckoo wall clock.
There were also some old items like an old radio and others.
But as I am a fan of naive art, I liked the paintings the most. The first picture that caught my eye was a picture of a man sitting above a village that shows hard work with respect for traditional customs but he imagines and wishes a life in the city. People used to dream about leaving the village and going to the city where life is easier, but today it is the other way around. Many people return to the countryside in the wish that their lives pass more slowly, to breathe clean air and to turn to nature.
In all the pictures, we can see how hardworking the people living in the countryside are and how hard they work to provide food for themselves and their families.
Photographs and pictures of old authentic houses in Serbia are also on display. Some are half-destroyed and some still stand the test of time.
When we went outside, we noticed an interesting wall clock on an upside-down baking pan.
We saw that the terrace is called "the terrace of romantic views".
We left this place inspired and motivated to slow down and admire the beauty of life and everything that surrounds us.
Thank you very much for reading.
The images and writing are original and mine.
