EL CANAL es un restaurante familiar, pequeño en tamaño, pero grande en pretensiones de darle un cuidado servicio, tanto de cocina como en la sala. Su cocina se asienta en la tradición restauradora canaria, pero –como no podía ser menos en esta época globalizadora– tiene influencias diversas, y por ello la carta de “EL CANAL” le ofertará platos que no encontrará en otros restaurantes de la zona. La inmensa mayoria de sus platos se elaboran en el momento, lo que conlleva un pequeño retraso del servicio, pero creo que es una razonable espera en la mesa — y más si la espera es distendida, conversadora — ya que será reconfortada por la calidad de una comida recién hecha, en su justo punto de cocción. Su carta de vinos detalla más de cien marcas diferentes, traidas de todas partes del mundo. Es recomendable dejarse aconsejar para sonseguir un correcto maridaje. El restaurante es pequeño, sólo tiene diez mesas, por eso es recomendable reservar con antelación para no tner que esperar. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente como uno de los mejores restaurantes de la Isla de La Palma. No hace falta sino ver las fotos que comparto a continuación. The vast majority of their dishes are prepared at the moment, which entails a small delay of the service, but I think it is a reasonable wait at the table - and more if the wait is relaxed, talkative - since it will be comforted by the quality of a freshly cooked meal, at its right cooking point. Its wine list details more than one hundred different brands, brought from all over the world. It is advisable to be advised to follow a correct pairing. The restaurant is small, it only has ten tables, so it is advisable to book in advance so you don't have to wait. I highly recommend it as one of the best restaurants on the Island of La Palma.
