Back in May i went to yellowstone and i've finally edited all the wildlife shots here are some of my favorite shots of the baby bears I got to photograph in the couple days i was there.

These guys were so much fun to watch... forget the parents the cubs were way more photogenic.

PHOTO TIPS

I was using the 135mm sigma and the 150-1600mm sigma
It's handy to cary a good tripod because that 600mm is hard to get in focus sometimes specially if the light is low. Also the black bears specially give you tons of time to get a shot... the grizzlies are usually fast and on the go and I didn't get a ton of time to photograph them like the black bears.

Also the other big tip... look for groups of photographers. They usually know what's up because many of them come to the park every year in May. They know them so well they even know names or can tell you how many cubs they had the year before. etc

This mom was the most enjoyable to photograph because she had 3 cubs which is a pretty good amount for a black bear i hear.

I found it interesting that the mom would force her cubs to go up into the trees quite a bit... while she stayed down at the bottom mostly.

SIDE NOTE: Bears, specially these black bears eat soooo much grass. They're basically cows. Basically they'd be out in an open field for hours just grazing while a pack of 40 photographers stood up on the road watching them and taking pictures.

I'm very impressed these little guys could climb so easily and flawlessly it's not like they can grasp around the trunk of a tree... it's pretty much all in their claws.

Don't you just want one? I mean i can do without the 500lb moms ... but a little cub would be so much fun.

this is a different mom in a different location that only had one cub. I know you're thinking that they look alike ... but that's just because you're a bear racist. hahaha Not all black bears look the same...
Ok yeah they do... they look pretty similar. haha

back to the one with 3 cubs ... you look closely she has them on her lab perhaps feeding them.

And then they were on the move.

Kids playing and the mom eating... pretty much describes everything i witnessed.

Like i said this is how you know there's a bear around. haha

Ending with another moment of cuteness
