Kuramathi Maldives 11th ROM anniversary trip

Good day my dear travelers. This is my first post in tripsteem.

Great to see this new platform where I can consolidate all my travel diary in a page! So awesome and I can’t wait to share more in the near future.

I just came back from Maldives, celebrating my 11th ROM anniversary with @itrmarcusliew. Actually I have never dream that I can travel to Maldives one day. Back in December 2017 I attended my friend’s wedding and she traveled to Maldives for honeymoon. The photos she posted were so fantastic and Maldives is really like a paradise. I posted in my blog, I wished to travel to Maldives on my 10th wedding anniversary. My ROM was on March 2008, and my customary wedding was on Dec 2008. We didn’t made it on Dec 2018, but dream came true in March 2019! Thanks to steemit, and my hubby heard my wish lol.

We didn’t spend a lot of time doing survey. We read some travel diary in Malaysia Cari forum and m.qyer.com. After one-two weeks of survey we finally chose the travel package from travelplanner (travel agency in Penang). Actually was quite risky as everything was communicated online and glad that everything went through perfectly. We paid rm1000 deposit and the remaining fees was paid in Feb 2019.

We have chosen Kuramathi Island resort at Rasdhoo Atoll, Maldives (https://www.kuramathi.com/) because it is a big island. There is a sandbank on the west of the island which is only visible when the tide is low.

Snorkelling trip brought back so much about our first trip at Pulau Perhentian in 2006 before we become couple lol.

Every scene is like a poster, Maldives is really a paradise. I am really thankful that i get to visit this place once in a life time before it dissappear. If i want to visit again, i may choose for budget version!
