Hi everybody,
Hope you all are doing well!
Today's blog is about my visit to robber's cave at Dehradun, Indian. In the valley of Himalayan foothills, robber's cave is located 8 kilometres away from the Dehradun city making it more peaceful and interesting.
The cave is a well-known tourist destination spot which is famous for its scenic beauty and the water stream flowingthrough it. It is located in the Sahastradhara area and can be reached through a brief trek.
The way leading to the cave was extremely beautiful and it was all covered with lush green and trees. The air was cold, sun was out and the birds were chirping all over making it as lovey as possible.
Although, there were lots of tourist over there but the place was calm.On our way to the cave I found countless restaurants selling mouth-watering food .The aroma of the food cooking over there suddenly stopped me and for a second I thought to give up the ideal to visit the cave, lets have some delicious food and take a u
turn.
Keeping my wild thought in mind and leaving the delicious food behind, we walked straight towards the cave as we were timebound.
We found a board welcoming us and a sweet uncle selling some junk food under the umbrella. People were buying stuff and it make me wonder what iam missing, in the fear of missing out I brought the stuff from uncle and had it then and there.
The away towards the cave was magnificent and the water stream was making it more refreshing.
Walking near the water on a hot day is like you found water in the desert. The trail was easy, making it suitable for the beginners and offers blend of adventure and natural beauty.
We continued hiking and encountered stunning view of the hills and dense greenery all around. The major highlight was the tranquility of the surrounding and usually you don't find such a beautiful spot in a big city like Dehradun.
I love how this trek combine adventure with a touch of history and making it more memorable for nature lovers like me.
As we reached near the cave, we found a small shiva temple outside. People were praying over there and the presence of temple maked the surrounding even more harmonic. This is the best place to visit with your parents and grandparents.
The temple showcases traditional Indian architecture, with intricate carvings and stonework and it also offers peaceful ambience which i think is a perfect spot for meditation and reflection.
I placed the flower over nandi maharaj and continued our trek towards the cave. Visiting shiva temple has enhanced the overall experiences of the robber cave trek by blending nature, spirituality and the culture.
As we reached near the cave we saw the river flowing through it and the multiple opening of the cave. Visitors were exploring the various path and I was afraid to join the path but after seeing old aged people over there, I was ashamed and gained sone confidence. I entered the cave and the water flowing was cold and refreshing and it helped me to relax.
We started to move inside and spotted bunch of tourists. The cave was made up of limestone from the inside and shaped in a perticular way because of the water erosion happening here from the centuries.
We were surprised to see the large chambers inside the cave and the cave's interior was as quique as possible.
The more we explored the cave more interesting it seemed. The flow of water was heavy at some points and at other it was low. I was never been this excited to went inside a cave that too with water flowing through it.
Your happiness doubles when you meet people as excited as you to explore places. Here we met bunch of them and they shared their experience about the cave and helped as to figure out the way. They were so lovely, we all clicked each other picture and told goodbye until next time.
And here is a picture I loved most, a cute boy playing in the cave, collecting stones and enjoying his time. All these picture are taken by me with my phone samsung galaxy S21 ultra. I hope you enjoyed the blog.
