Art I stole from the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid, Spain.
I'm a thief. I'm not a bad person, I swear. I just can't help myself; when I see something beautiful, I have to have it. And I'm not talking about your average everyday objects, I'm talking about art. The Mona Lisa, The Scream, The Thinker – I've stolen all of them. But don't worry, I'm not a thief in the traditional sense. I don't steal art to sell it on the black market or to horde it in my own personal collection. I steal art to share it with the world. I'm the thief of the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid, Spain.
But, before you go call Interpol to report my doings, you should read on for better clarification.
You see, it was quite by accident... I really did not know I was doing anything wrong until it was too late, and the security guards came over to me. Sure, I saw them scold someone else earlier when at the Museo Nacional del Prado, but I figured it was for something else. However, as it turns out, stealing photos of the art work at the Museo Nacional del Prado is not allowed. BUT, luck for you, I did a whole day of art stealing with my phone camera before I was caught by security. HAHAHAHAHA.
So here are some pictures I sole (*Took of the art), from the Museo Nacional del Prado.
Location : Museo Nacional del Prado
C. de Ruiz de Alarcón, 23, 28014 Madrid, Spain

Here is the location of my heist... Museo Nacional del Prado ... It was being repaired at the time, but the art was still great.
To blend in better, I even bought tickets to see the showing. Both tickets, to see the collection and to see the special exhibit cost a toatl of 15 Euro. (7.50 each).
Here is the first statue I took. EPIC. Why naked? IDK... But hey, back in the day they could not afford clothing I think, so naked it is. Also, several security guards were standing around and did not say anything to me, so, I just assumed for the rest of my time here, it was OK to take photos (* if you, the curators, at the Museo Nacional del Prado, are reading this... my bad bro, total thought it was ok to take pictures.) .
The museum was quite nice. Long hallways, lots of rooms and great light.
I even stood around for about 30 min making a drawing of a statue called "FAME", guards passed me and said nothing.
Here is the statue in more details. This was perhaps my favorite work of art in this place. I enjoyed the dramatic wind effect, it's capturing of the delicate hand holding and the wings, great!
A common theme in the museum was death, religion and images of old people... sometimes all together in one picture.
Goya was also featured. This picture is Saturn eating his son. When I was in high school, I saw this picture in my art book and painted a picture based around it. To so stumble on it here was cool.
There was also a lot of strange religious cult art from South America. Like this work... it is hard to see, but there are eyes on the belly of this man.
A lot of religious iconography as well, such as this one. Lots of details in this, the sliver and gold... nice!
I also saw a lot of guys with handle bar mustaches as well. I have one. Dali is from Spain as well, so it must have been the "look" back in the day. I think it needs to come back.
Here is a painting of a statue holding up the seat of a fat religious man. The rest of the painting was sorta... meh... but this part was gold, pure gold I say. The expression of grief is worth the price of admission.
Most of the art in the museum was bright and colorful sans the "DARK" work of Goya. All very bleak... but still cool to see and a nice change from the vibe.
So, here is where I was "caught" stealing art. I was trying to get a nice detailed photo of this work and then, BAM security was like "no no no" and waved their finger at me. *Sigh.. so much for my great art heist. But still, I got this enjoyable image.
But before I got caught, I did get to steal a bunch more photos of art! AHHH HA! Like these nudes.
And this photo. Why did I take it, Well, look at the bottom right, there is a Big Mac from MacDonald's chilling in the bottom! I am sure this proves that time travel happened.
And this photo... there is a lot to unpack in this picture, like Why the goose, what's up with the lion, why are they cuddling.. I don't know.
Here is an old man that is crazy. Why crazy? Well, the book he is "Reading" is upside down, so, he was not reading it, you were reading it to him. Think about that.
This is another work that spoke to me, I enjoyed the expression on her face a lot.
Here is another one of the death paintings. it would be grim to see the Instagram feeds of people back in the day, I think.
And to close up the post today, here is an old man that is quite bored at everything, sorta saying, "Oh, angles ... AGAIN..."... I get it dude, hard life. Yes.
In conclusion, people will always be drawn to art. Creative expression is part of what makes us human. An art thief may merely be an art collector's dream, as the finer things in life are there for the taking and, in the case of these painting, they are now, right here on my blog.
Thanks for coming today, hope to see you again.
Cheers
