For years the community has wondered what goes on beyond the 30-foot gate acting as a barrier between you and the property known as The Temple of Oculus Anubis. Once deemed the creepiest place in Oregon has been a huge mystery up until recently.

I want you to see what it really looks like and to get the experience that I had so I didn't edit this set at all. This is raw and straight from my camera.

This gate was really massive and once had giant statues on both sides of it. As you can see there is now only one.

The gates were already open so we decided to check it out..

This is the statue at the first curve in the driveway. It also being massive must have been at least 40 ft tall.

Looking back from where the first statue is you can kind of see where I parked in front of the gate.

an onward we went..

The property is filled with many side trails and different types of paths. We decided to start wandering around and then I looked up and saw these pillars above me!

_DSC9839.jpg

It was nothing like I had ever seen before!

I walked across to the other side and looked over to find the bottom filled with water. After a closer look, it revealed a staircase that goes under but I didn't have my scuba gear with me so your guess is as good as mine as to what is down there.

onto the next path..

I looked over and immediately noticed how the rocks were set up. "That's a door!" I yelled. The vibe completely changed and this place was definitely getting creepy. We checked it out more in detail and it was definitely built that way with some type of tunnel system attached to it. You can also see the torch in the upper left.

Rumor has it there is $2M worth of heated tunnels within the property where the owner once held strange and cruel practices.

_DSC9850.jpg

The owners had a very interesting style when it comes to things they choose to decorate their property with.

_DSC9845.jpg

So it turns out the owner used to run an eye care practice where he was busted for fraud. He has since passed and the charges have fallen onto his son. Some claim the son was severely abused while others see him as a business partner. The money gained through fraud was used to build the tunnels and mansion on the property. The mansion has mostly been torn down as it was never finished but it would have had an incredible view and was intended for the son.

So that's my experience with The Temple of Oculus Anubis. I would love to know your thoughts on it!
