Hello friends today I would like to introduce myself to another municipality in the province of Verona even if we can already define it as a city because it has more than twenty thousand inhabitants and is close to one of the most important airports in Italy.

I recommend you to start the tour of this city of its wonderful Castle which dates back to 1200 has been restored over the years and is well preserved with all its walls.

Unfortunately the day I made the visit I was unlucky because I found it closed and it usually opens for events or concerts because there is a beautiful green lawn inside but surely in the next months as soon as I have the opportunity I will drop by and I'll bring it here to the community

above you can see the main entrance and the statues of Juliet and Romeo have been placed because it seems that this castle too is linked to the tradition of these unfortunate lovers.

What I like to do when I come here to Villafranca is to take a walk around the Scaliger walls and that's what I recommend to tourists who come to this city just so you can savor a little bit of the history of the past then there is a beautiful park that frames this wonderful castle.

it is a place that the inhabitants of Villafranca also use for physical activity business In fact along the way you will surely meet someone running or walking

Then taking a few steps you will find yourself in the main street of Villafranca where you will find one of the historic cafes of the city, the Fantoni coffee where you can taste the famous Acqua di Fiume distillate created in honor of Gabriele D'Annunzio who was a super frequenter of this place.

And where you can also eat and enjoy the delicious sfogliatina, a typical dessert of the area dating back to the 1800s made with flour, eggs, sugar and butter.

then continuing to walk you will find yourself in the main square of Villafranca where there is the Duomo that you can see in the video that I will leave you below and stroll through the beautiful shops perhaps stopping to enjoy a nice coffee in some bar along the road.

Thank you for reading this article and taking the time. I hope I have made you discover another lesser known place in my Italy But which is worth visiting especially to taste the typical dishes of the area but also to see the points of interest that are there

I recommend you follow me because it is definitely I will bring other very interesting contents of less famous places in Italy But that is worth knowing, indeed I thank you for the support you give me in my articles

Below I leave you the video I shot during my walking in this city👇
