On Sunday, when we went to the village of Castellaro Lagusello, we thought we'd go to the village of Pozzolengo for lunch because I wanted to discover this park, which opened recently and which so many people have told me was really good.
This park is called 'Parco Don Giussani', it is a very large park and inside there are also some excellent gymnastic equipment that I wanted to try out for myself, really fantastic!
I like these projects, even when they are set up in such small towns, because Pozzolengo has only 3,000 inhabitants, but they are useful for the population because they can come here to have fun. In fact, there are also merry-go-rounds for small children, and there is also a large dog area where they can entertain their four-legged friends.
Then I went up to the village and then in the direction of the old village where the castle of Pozzolengo is now located.
They have a really nice big square from where you can enjoy a beautiful view towards the tower of San Martino.
On Mount Fluno, you can find the castle, which is still inhabited today and was built in 1300 as a defence against barbarian peoples descending from the north.
Actually, from my point of view, it doesn't look like a classic castle to me, but more likely there were extensions over time and this became a fortified village.
They've done a good job of recovering these old houses and I've even seen that some people live in them permanently, which must be a nice thing.
I hope you have enjoyed these photos of this village of Pozzolengo, I leave you with a short video below, a summary of what I have seen in about one minute. A video will certainly be posted on my YouTube channel in the near future.
